New Cyborg 009 anime? Interesting. I wonder how that will tie with the original universe. Looking forward to it of course though.

I'm always up for more adaptations of Ishinomori's work. Now if only someone would do an adaptation of Kamen Rider: Spirits (though that series wasn't written by Ishinomori)

Would it be too early to hope Funimation gets this since they have Re:Cyborg (despite having to wait on the UK release)? Also I'm going to say again that the full dub of the 2001 series needs a home in R1.

No. The 50th b-day was back in July, so this celebration is a bit late. I'm still waiting to hear on a release that for Re:Cyborg here. Ditto on the 2001 version getting a proper release.

I hope it isn't like that Re: Cyborg 009 movie. That might have been the most pretentious sack of twaddle I've ever seen in my life (Kamiyama should have known better).

But given that this is by the 2001 TV series guy, it'll probably be a lot better than that.

I wonder if they'll do a re-adaptation of God's War.

Sign me up. Also, that style looks pretty stylish. Hope American cyborg has a giant Kaiji nose

I wonder if will be a remake (follows the same storyline as the manga, maybe with some changes in order to "update" the settings) or a reinterpretation (new characters, new storyline within the established settings, all that).

Same, I'll be buying the movie and even moreso I'd buy the 2001 series with the dub in a second if it ever finally got a full release.
