At the end of the statement, the r in the alias is missing.

Could just be me being naive or something. But it just seems like he didn't know how to properly file royalty earnings on his taxes? Probably should get a tax specialist in the future.

Well, he said he'd given the incident a lot of thought, and as he seems to be a pretty smart guy, I'm guessing "a lot of thought" means "I'm getting a tax specialist to do my returns in the future."

I'm just glad they seem to have concluded their investigation so we can all focus on his future endevours instead of worrying if he's going to end up in jail.

I wonder if we get to read the behind the scene story and how the whole ordeal became public. I government agency should give one enough leeway and a grace period before they turn you into a news story after all. Well we only have a bunch of half cooked internet gossip so let´s see what the final word will be (but someone needs to rethink his accounting skillZ).
I also noticed a bit of distrust towards where your tax dollar (or whatever) goes in the other thread and i have to disagree. No money in the bank beans no education for anyone, no healthcare, roads and so on.

I'm glad he's sorted this out and has avoided jail time.

As the noise from this statement demonstrates, he was ready to bow (to the tax man).

You totally nailed it out,dude!

Back on topic: I'm relieved that everything turn out alright. At least, judging from his statement, he never intended to evade tax payment.

That sounds to me either like a clerical error and he apologized for the fans that they got news that placed him in bad light, or that it was an honest calculation error from his part and he apologized to the fans for not taking enough precautionary steps.

That's a typo, the name is written ままれ [mamare].

I keep seeing that he should use a trained tax accountant, who says he didn't?

I've personally seen it happen with US tax law that what the certified trained accountants say should be done in regards to a particular situation does not agree with the taxing authorities interpretation of the exact same regulations.

The Taxpayer gets stuck in the middle and could get penalized for following professional advice.

We don't know the details and won't, so all we can do is be glad it's over without too much fuss.

This could also be a C.Y.A. letter. However, I don't really know how American or Japanese tax laws work.
