I might pick up Hayate, I guess, really more interested in J.C.Staff's S2 if they get that as well. I'm just going to wait out the Blu-Rays for Kawaisou, Sakura Trick, and Chuunibyou2. I don't have enough energy nowadays to keep fuming about their random DVD-only releases anyways.

A weird slate for Sentai. I thought they were not doing sub-only, DVD-only releases anymore; although, I assume they will eventually get BD updates. I am also somewhat surprised that Chuunibyou S2 is again getting an initial (I assume a CE BD/DVD combo is coming) DVD-only release instead of offering CE combo, RE BD and RE DVD at the same time. Also, a Kyoto Animation show on DVD is a waste of time and money.

I will begrudgingly get the CE release for the not-as-good season 2 of Chuunibyou if a regular BD is not offered. I should also get Captain Earth collection 2 BD down the road.

Wow, that's a lot more DVD only releases than I would expect for the year 2015.

Kawaiso, Chuuni S2, and Sakura Trick were all releases that I would have expected a BD release. Will definitely be picking up Hayate though.

Nothing for me unless Chuni2 gets a BD release (eventually, if at all).

I'm curious about that VHD BD, it had better be a new HD transfer, but there's really no way of knowing until it releases.

Re: Vampire Hunter D.

Remastered in high-definition from the original elements and with a new English dub (Streamline dub used on Urban Vision DVD release will not be included).

Kamigami no Asobi and Kawaii Complex for me! Definitely most excited about owning Kamigami no Asobi because I've been waiting for that one for a while.

I know I want to get Space Brothers at some point (hopefully some of it will be cheap in the coming Xmas sale. I've got a while to wait though!), but I don't know if I should go Blu-ray or DVD. with movies and glorious action series, I'm likely to lean blu-ray, but for a space drama, I'm not sure the blu-ray justifies the extra cost. Dammit, Sentai, put out combo packs already!

Please, no, not that. I really dislike combo packs. They are a waste of space on my shelves and a waste of plastic. The only combo pack Sentai has put out so far cost as much if not more then the cost of buying both and was the only way to get the Bluray. Viz does the same thing. At least Funimation only takes up unnecessary space.

Wow, surprising that Sentai got the go-ahead for Hayate S1 on BD when it doesn't have a BD release in Japan. That makes some of the other DVD-only releases a bit less explainable.

Funimation's are maybe 1.5 times the size of a single DVD case for 2-cour series -- not that much shelf space in my book.

It would be nice to get these shows on BD, but people in R1 somehow survived Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Full Metal Panic Second Raid, Air, Kanon, Haruhi, and Lucky Star on DVD just fine. Or are you saying that all their shows are so universally lacking in story, music, voice acting, and characterization quality that pretty pictures are the only things that make them worthwhile?

I guess it's the Infinite Stratos curse or something, where they make us think, "all right, this franchise is coming out on BD!", but then dump out the sequel DVD-only. Though I'm still waiting on a dual-language DVD version to even consider getting the first series.
