I just watched episodes 1-7 of The Wallflower. Taking a break to watch some football; I'll try to finish later tonight.

Finished Katanagatari, will try to finish off Arakawa later today. I've been updating my episode counts with links on my post at the top of 2nd page.

Can't imagine I'll finish the whole thing in time but I'm starting Moribito as my final show.

Finished SAO II (24 ep.). Not as strong as the first part bit it was alright.

With three and a half hours left I won't have time to finish another show. I'm disappointed that I couldn't even break the hundred-episode mark. Life got in the way. That said, this is the most anime I've ever seen in a week, and both shows were quite good.

Final:
Moribito 1-26
SAO 1-25
SAO II 1-24
Total: 75

Finished Arakawa under the Bridge today and got up to episode 10 on Lain. I will finish Lain tomorrow, since I don't have much time left and I have some things to do.

Well, did the best that I could with the time I had to spend on this marathon. I got 3 shows completely done and almost a 4th. Here's the final tally:
Katanagatari 12 (24 double length) episodes End.
Planetes 26 episodes End.
Arakawa under the Bridge 26 episodes End.
Serial Experiments Lain 10 episodes (3 more to go).
Total: 86 episodes.

Well, at least I got a nice chunk taken out of my backlog and I feel like I wrote a fair amount too. Here is my 2nd page post with all the links to the episodes and my write ups.

Well, I managed to finish The Wallflower in time. Considering the amount of time I wasted doing other things I did fairly well.

The final tally:
Fate/Zero 25 episodes
Black Lagoon 24 episodes
Arakawa Under the Bridge 9 episodes (4 left)
Martian Successor Nadesico 26 episodes
The Wallflower 25 episodes

Since episode 1 of Fate/Zero was double length that gives me 110 points. I put quite a dent in my backlog in just 10 days.

I edited my post at the bottom of page 1 with the links to my comments on the shows I watched. As expected, the weekend was impossible, so my final tally is what I said on Friday

Haibane Renmei: 13 episodes
Yuki Yuna is a Hero: 12 episodes
Revolutionary Girl Utena: 19 episodes

Total: 44

Considering I didn't have any time during both weekends, nor can I stay up late at night watching stuff, and that I had way too many untimely circumstances during the week, I'm not that displeased with what I achieved. I really hoped I'd be able to make at least 60 episodes, but in the end I had barely 3 days to sit down and watch stuff (I'd calculated I'd have at least 6 since I didn't factor in that it would start so late on Friday), so I suppose it's kind of a neat accomplishment

With only 34 minutes left, I'm not gonna bother starting anything (especially not with the Seahawks game on, which I already skipped half of).

My post is here with links to my posts, but here are my totals:
.hack//SIGN: Episodes 1-25, Evidence, Intermezzo, Unison
Bubblegum Crisis: Episodes 4-8
RahXephon: Episodes 1-9 (pre-marathon, don't count), 10-26, Movie
Scrapped Princess: Episodes 1-24
Sunday Without God: Episodes 1-12, OAV
Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Episodes 1-12

For points, that should be as follows:
.hack//SIGN: 28 points
Bubblegum Crisis: 10 points (40, 45, 50, 50, and 50 mins)
RahXephon: 17 points (show) and ??? points (movie, which is 115 mins, and longer than the chart)
Scrapped Princess: 24 points
Sunday Without God: 13 points
Yuki Yuna is a Hero: 12 points
for a total of 104 points, plus whatever I get from the RahXephon movie.

Awesome, I'll have everything checked and tallied up within the next few days and get a poll going for the "most thoughtful" posts.

Thank you everyone for your participation! I'm sorry that I wasn't able to participate more. I ended up being pretty busy with work and homework. I hope people had fun! Very Happy

This was a lot of fun! It's great to be motivated to watch old anime. That said, I didn't end up watching a whole lot.

Scrapped Princess 24 eps
Full Metal Panic (season 1): 19 eps

Sorry for not posting over the weekend. It was my first full weekend off in 7 weeks. So I stayed offline mostly and did stuff lol. I did watch some more anime so here is my grand total of what I got done:

Black Lagoon 24 episodes + OVA (I know the OVA does not count but if you watched the series you HAVE to see the OVA. Roberta in full on crazy psycho bitch mode is awesome.)
Bubble Gum Crisis - 8 episodes
Ghost Hunt - 25 episodes
High School of the Dead - 12 episodes
Martian Successor Nadesico - 14 episodes

While they are not on the list and do not count I also watched Sword of the Stranger (BR upgrade) and Expelled from Paradise. Both are good movies.

Okay, for the Most Amount of Anime Watched Challenge, OldCharlieStoletheHandle wins with 110 pts!

Dessa was a close runner-up with 108 pts.

Saffire watched the most episodes out of everyone (115 - that's really awesome!), but didn't include any write-ups.

I'll get the poll up for Most Thoughtful Post(s) Challenge tomorrow.

I am really pleased with the participation. Congrats to everyone for knocking out those backlogs and spending all those hours watching and posting your thoughts.

Wouldn't it be more fun if it was bad anime, hence the whole "Can you survive" thing?

Hey now, juggling this much anime, work, sleep, and other personal life events was "fun" enough heh. No need to make this a masochistic event.
