On-topic, whenever it does come out, I'll be adding it to my collection. The film feels incomplete without knowing what will happen in 4.0 (or whatever ridiculous name they're giving it), but I still enjoyed it for what it was.

Strange that I went to Belgium almost two years ago, and they had an official Blu-ray of it in an anime store. I wonder who released that?

This... isn't the final cover is it? A big blue block with the title scrawled on it? Surely, after all this time, there is a piece of artwork they can use for the cover, right? Surely...

I can tell you what 4.44 will be. Yet another hosing of the fans from the ceiling grid rafters by Anno in every theatre that it is shown in , that's what. It's his raison d'etre. Laughing

It mirrors the US cover, which mirrors the Japanese cover.

Irrelevant. They've changed the cover art many times, often for the worse (looking at you Steins;Gate), so there is really little reason for them to stick with the same cover art seeing as its a practise that clearly isn't too important to them.

Considering how long this has delayed due to pleasures of "working very closely" with Xhara, I imagine there is a very good reason for sticking with the same cover art in that they had no option to do otherwise.
