What's funny about this statement is that the VA work in the games is minimal at best. Almost every speaking line is at most 2 words and generally 1 word. It is such a dumb reason to not buy a game and guess who is to blame? Japanese music and voice actor copyrights. The main female character sings in the game and with it most likely blocked by copyright.

I... actually prefer this to what they had before. Like, I wasn't against the petting feature at all. I was actually ticked off because they were cutting things out unnecessarily and calling it localization. But this is a great alternative.

I wonder how it will be. Like the actual "petting" mini-game or just really light-hearted "petting" that doesn't involved the lewd lines and blushing stuff. Depending on how they go about it, it would be a nice alternative to do.

who cares about lack of Japanese dub? it's a game voice acting is less important as long as the gameplay is good.

I think you underestimate how important voice acting is to a game that features it.

If its just the waking up feature it'll be a lot shorter then regular touching which has all the lovey-dovey dialog. If people found it weird or pointless the touching minigame was great at showcasing character personalities and showing how they act in their off time in the bedroom. Seeing that silent bishi warrior melt into a tsundere puddle or your sister going full yandere and saying she'll kill you if you cheat on her.
The whole "marriage implies consent" thing does make it seem like its an issue of consent which is a big issue in the US lately where you have to fill out forms before having sex at colleges. Or some kind of premarital sex issue, only instead of sex it's touching which is a more extreme moral stance. We will probably never know the real issue why it was censored

Nintendo has made so much more of a mess by even bothering to touch the minigame than they would have made by just releasing the content as is.

There are many reasons to not buy a game. Why should someone care if Wildikdog says it's a horrible reason, it's up to them at the end of the day.
