Just read it in the Space Dandy narrator's voice and everything will be allllllllright.

To the skeptics: remember reading the first page of Anime News Nina when it debuted? It was a pretty similar vibe to the new comic imo. Time will tell whether it gets into swing or not.

It looks like it could be promising. Maybe use them as a means of showcasing some hidden drama behind ANN and getting news articles and interviews out. Plus I'm a sucker for a readhead.

I don't get why there are multiple posts that are getting down in this comic. I think it's cute.
I liked casual visual humor of the dead fairy in the Gameboy as well as the bidet fairy with the super soaker (LOL).
People complaining about the "premise"... is this trolling? Because it seems silly. I highly doubt that the Vice & Luna is going to now delve deeply into the mechanisms and politics of the fairy vs. human worlds (although.... maybe I want that now that I think about it...). The backstory is basically just an excuse to create cute ANN fairy avatars. Geez.
I am perplexed by the amount of cleavage that Luna manages to display despite wearing a high neck, long sleeved shirt.

The opening narration made me wonder if this was an extended reference to Rilu Rilu Fairilu.

I'm perplexed that she can fly. She must operate on bumblebee physics.
There's no byline on the first page (except in microscopic font at the end). I didn't even realize there was a second page until I read macattack's (who's taking this waaaaay too seriously) post.

Yeah, I know some people are and aren't looking how it goes so far, and some do or don't, but regardless myself, I'm liking how it is at the moment, I mean, I heard someone said Nina had a rough start too, so yeah, give it time.

Thanks for pointing this out - I made it a little more obvious, hopefully that's better.

Supposedly that bit about a bumblebee being unable to fly was based on an analysis that treated it as a fixed wing aircraft. A bumblebee is effectively a helicopter. It can fly but it can't glide.
The bit with fairies works if they are or can make themselves effectively weightless. Treated that way, the wings would be for movement in all directions and stability. If you can accept the concept of fairies that shouldn't be that hard to take. A realistic wingspan wouldn't fit in the frame. Luna looks to be larger than the body of a real luna moth. I've seen them, they can get to be six inches across.

I know bumblebees don't actually defy the laws of physics, despite the trope. It's just that like a bumblebee, she doesn't appear to be aerodynamically designed for stable flight. Or stable walking around, for that matter. j/k

Aaa. This would explain why it utterly didn't interest me at all.

Interesting. I was apprehensive at first because I reeeeeally like Anime News Nina and didn't really want another comic on the site but I'll see where this one goes.
(Could have done without the super soaker poop joke but to each their own.)
