I also wouldn't call this "the poor man's Natsume Yuujincho" (and i'm a big Natsume fan). I very much enjoyed this show on its own merits, the characters were likeable and i'm always a sucker for stories about youkai.
It would be nice to get a second season, i'd especially like to learn more about Abeno's past since i'm still convinced that Aoi was a youkai and not a human like the reviewer seems to believe...but if that won't be the case, at least the manga is legally available. |
