I'll be forthright and concede that I'm a little disappointed that this isn't a series about lesbians playing ice hockey with a KD Lang cover of Warren Zevon's "Hit Somebody" for an OP, but it's Sayo Yamamoto and looks damned gorgeous, I'm paying attention. The voices in the trailer seemed pretty on the mark. It's particularly intriguing because she's credited with series composition, which seems to be a new credit for her, although I'm sure that she has some prior experience with scripts. I like Sayo Yamamoto a lot and I hope that this is a success, because I would love to see her go a long way high up.

I watched the clip due to the yaoi comments. If it's *yuri* on ice but it's actually about yaoi on ice I'm all for it.

No (wo)man! I don't think it's any coincidence that 'Suwabe' sounds like 'suave' (at least that's how I always think about him). I think that If he turns up that charm, he'll suit the role just fine Very Happy

It was great seeing Tadashi Hiramatsu's character designs in Parasyte after such a long absence from the role, so it's a real treat that he's back again to show his true powers with all these beautiful men. To say nothing of the rest of the staff (Sayo Yamamoto!!). This should be something alright.


The animation is well done, but the character designs are mediocre.

Chibi Yuri's lips are also glossy in his close up in the bathroom. I'm kinda on the fence about that. It's distracting. I can understand if they're about to do their routing, but off the ice, why? I'll still watch it, though.

He's also Yuri's husbando. Wink

I am liking the classical-sounding music being played, especially since I just finished the final "Your Lie in April" dub episode last Sunday.

Not being a fan of the BL/yaoi and GL/yuri stuff, I will wait for an ANN Preview Guide episode review before deciding if I watch this or not.
