Awesome, looking forward to this for sure although it was mostly expected anyway. I'm guessing it may air during Summer 2017 at best.

Definitely HYPE but they covered a lot of material in the manga so itll be interesting to see how the season playes out.

Excellent been waiting for this..now goes the question of what are they going to adapt?

To be honest even if the adaptation is announced for early 2018 I still doubt Murata will be able to draw until the end of the current arc. He still has a long way to go. I actually believe that he will instead deliver drafts that ( hopefully ) Natsume Shingo & co can work with. |

I'm wondering if this announcement is the same as how Bigo O s2 and how FLCL is getting a new series which is thanks to western influence. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the BD sales were that great here in Japan and I never really saw heavy advertising for the series here.

Personally I really hope for a late 2017 early 2018 release.
Shingo is occupied with ACCA at the moment but he just has to be director on this again. |

Hmm i wonder if madhouse will do the 2nd season, would be kinda surprised though since Overlord is more popular in jpn and in my eyes better then OPM so would personnaly expect Overlord to get a 2nd season befor this....

FWIW One Punch Man averaged over 10K per volume and even with little advertising is capable of selling itself. Overlord averaged over 12K per volume so a season 2 for it will probably happen. I doubt Toonami had any influence in this case. A second season was going to happen at some point even with a sub-par English dub and Toonami ratings that aren't as high as Attack on Titan.
