@ Sakagami Tomoyo - hey, I'd be up for discussions of, for example, pop culture things that pop up in anime that don't make sense to me. Such a discussion would be illuminating. For example, I understand that blossoms falling from a sakura tree can be a symbol of death in Japanese culture. That's something I'd never be able to intuit on my own. However, I can sort of figure out why clotheslines (or a convenient balcony railing) are used in anime without it being explained to me.

None of which really matters, of course. Hey, this particular topic clear generated a lot of responses and discussion even if it leaves me scratching my head.
