I have a feeling the announcement is going to be for a live-action film adaptation. The age gap between the main characters and the fact that the female protagonist is still in high school might turn some people off, but I think this is so far a pretty good manga.

When they announce that there's going to be "an important announcment," 99% I've seen it's an anime adaption.
