| Ah, it's been a long time since I collected Yu-Gi-Oh cards. It's been just as long a time since I've eaten McDonalds. It's been about 4-5 years I guess for each. Well, I guess I could break the streak now. |

Ahh, if only there was a Kaiba toy. These toys are kinda pathetic, though. Edo, I mean "Aster" in particular looks awful: http://www.happymeal.com/ |

| It's not the toys I'm interested in...it's the cards. :3 | ||||||

They all look equally pathetic IMO. You'd think McDonald's would at least give them a decent paint job so that they wouldn't look like freaking bootlegs. As for the cards, if they're decent, then I might take a look. (I play Yugioh, but I've only been freeloading cards for the past two years because I'm cheap. |

| Is Yugioh even popular anymore? | ||||||

| Yes, it's still quite popular. Not as much as it used to be, but there are still a lot of official events being planned, most of which attracting more than 500 people. | ||||||

| All the more reason to go get Happy Meals again. And then when you get the cards, try and sell them on ebay, for 2 bucks. | ||||||

WINBEAMS, my friend. Winbeams. If they ever passed out deck staples, the Happy Meal would sell out. |

| I was at the McDonald's inside the Wal-Mart just across the Queensway from the St. Laurent Centre on Tuesday evening and it took around three minutes for the three-year old in line ahead of me (with his parents, obviously) to choose between the Yu-Gi-Oh and Littlest Pet Shop Happy Meal premiums (I think he went with Littlest Pet Shop, ultimately). All the time, I was thinking, "Yu-Gi-Oh? Aren't they about three years too late for that fad? Is that kid even old enough to remember it?"
Also, I find it amusing that a character that PETA enlisted for a campaign against animal cruelty just two years ago is now shilling for Mickey D's. |
