For comparison, the best-selling comic book series are the various Superman titles with a collective 600+ million sold worldwide.

The wording on the announcement specifically said 全世界に before the number, so it means worldwide.

amVicky, please don't edit war to add your persona figure to Wikipedia. We go by what is reported in the article. not your own personal viewpoint on what the worldwide sales should be. And creating sockpuppet accounts to enforce your viewpoint will only get you reblocked again.

As an update: Saikyo Jump's wording in its issue was incorrect in the end. A press release for the One Piece Tokyo Tower event revealed on April 18 that the manga has 350 million copies in print in Japan, and 66 million copies in print outside of Japan, for a total of 416 million copies worldwide.

ANN originally reported on the wording as it was in the Saikyo Jump magazine, but it turns out that wording was incorrect. We've updated the article to add in the information from the most recent press release.
