Oh boy, that casting. As a reader of the manga, these lead roles being cast the way they are, I know that this is gonna be good. Very Happy

I could've settled for Okamoto or Yoshino, but well Sugita will do. As for heroine, Omigawa Chiaki would've been perfect, but again, Aoi Yuki is an amazing choice too.

SUGITA IS AKKUN?!? ....Well, come to think of it, he fits him perfectly. There goes my hopes of Kana Asumi as Yoshiko, though. (For some reason, I always imagined Kana Asumi as Yoshiko.) Even so, I'm sure Aoi Yuki will provide an excellent voice for her.

Oh man this sounds good. I've not watched anything with Tomokazu Sugita since Haruhi when he was Kyon. This kind of show seems like it'd be up my alley too. I hope CrunchyRoll grabs it for simulcast.

Crunchy/Funi are about the only streaming outlet that bother with shorts so it's pretty likely.

I prefered Marina Inoue over Aoi Yuuki (mostly because Yoshiko reminds me of Kana Minami so much), but Yuuki can play hyperactive idiots, so I can settle with that.

I also prefered Nakamura over Sugita, but he's fine, too. Akkun is basically a more cynical and studied-obsessed version of Kyon, so I can see a "Haruhi-Kyon" dynamic between them.

The Dog (and he's called like that because Yoshiko is too dumb to give him a proper name) can't talk. He is just huge, but he is much more intelligent than Yoshiko, to the point that Akkun eventually sees him as a better friend than Yoshiko ever could be.

Well, I agree about this, but let Nakamura have a rest a bit. He has done many lead roles. I don't want Nakamura got sick in this summer. Besides that, it has been a while Sugita got the young lead character role.
