Right Stuf and Sunrise will release Mobile Suit Gundam Wing with both the original video anime (OVA) and film versions of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz in three sets on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in fall 2017.

Excellent, the only part of the series I'm currently missing is the Endless Waltz stuff, and I was worried that I'd have to buy the whole thing over again in order to get it.

Am I going crazy? I thought Funi had the license for Junjō Romantica 3?

Hopefully I'll be able to get that Ultra gundam wing edition from like amazon.ca. Shopping on Right stuf is just no possible for me with our dollar+shipping.

I'm a pretty big WING fan and it would be nice to have something collector about it.

Hoping they'll do the same for SEED next!

When a series that another company has previously released gets sufficiently popular, Funimation will often buy up just the streaming rights for the show's new season. That seems to be the case here.

Was really hoping for a blu-ray release of Dirty Pair. I'll take the Utena release though.

Hmm Gundam wing on Blu-ray. I may bite. My sister was screaming when that yaoi one was mentioned.

Sweet. I just pre-ordered the Utena CE. I hope it is a worthy box set and that the BD's are a significant visual upgrade over Right Stuf's previously released DVD's.

I waffled a few times on pulling the trigger on the Utena DVD sets, but I'm glad I waited. That should look fantastic on BD.

I'm on the fence about the Wing blu-ray. It was my introduction to Gundam back when it first aired on toonami but after seeing a few more series I can't really say I like it that much. It does have a nostalgic effect on me though so I may get it anyway.

I'm not being facetious when I say I thought I'd go to my grave without a physical release of JR S3 from Nozomi. This'll complete my collection. I did not watch Funi's simulcast. I feel that they jumped the bandwagon as a matter of course. They should stick to their T&A shows.

I know Shawne reads posts on here sometimes, so if you see this, I have a question:

Will the Wing release have the "Odd and Even Numbers - Operation Meteor" stuff like the Japanese Endless Waltz Blurays do?

Also worth noting, though it was mainly as a matter of fact aside from Shawne, is that Right Stuf will no longer be releasing any of their own release on DVD anymore, with the only exception being Gundam. Along with that, RS' Lucky Penny label is dead due to it not really succeeded as intended.

The fact that all Nozomi releases from here on out will be BD-only is a bit odd, though, since no other anime company here is going through with that. It also makes one wonder if this means that RS won't bother with any anime that don't have any sort of HD remaster (anime from the digital SD "digipaint" era & plenty of "classic" anime) anymore, or if they'll be pulling a Discotek & try out the "SD on BD" release method.
