I am totally stoked for this. I wasn't gonna buy it if it was digital-only (I've got the original 3 on PS2), but for physical, I'll bite.

Good to see they are also doing a physical copy of this.
I still wish they did this with the original game also.

Hopefully this does well enough to warrant a re-release of the original quadrilogy since buying the full set is ridiculously expensive.

Ah sweet new, can't wait to get me a copy. Chances are I'll end up buying before I get the actual PS4 but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Laughing

Same here. I'll be buying the PS4 physical for my .hack shelf, but playing on Steam since I don't actually own a PS4. Anime catgrin + sweatdrop Looking forward to it!

Wasn't physical EU confirmed originally, when they said US was getting digital-only? I seem to remember people considering importing.

Is this the first time .hack has been released on PS4?

Yes, this will be the first release of any .hack game on the PS4. The last console release was on PS3 (Japan-only).

Very excited, never thought one of my favorite game trilogies would be revived (considering how niche it is). This is literally the first .hack game to release in NA since GU Vol 3 launched in September 2007, 10 years ago! We missed out on Link and Versus (as well as the mobile games). Glad I won't have to import the Japanese copy just to own it physically.

I think IMOQ are too outdated to simply get the HD-tratment, their look and gameplay aged horribly and would need a remake. It was easier for CC2 to remaster GU. But I don't see why they won't simply put them as PS2 classics on the PSN store.
