That's pretty comical and outrageous to say since he has been having his so called "15 minutes" since the mid nineties.

I believe that is the point he is trying to make, hehehe Anime smile. He is asking when his 15 minutes are up because it seems to be taking forever for it to end. I may be wrong, but that is what I got from it Anime smile.

Well I'd admit it now, SexyBack = my guilty pleasure song Confused Ha and I dislike Justin Timberlake quite abit, just..because, ... I hear his movie alphadog is actually good.
On another note, I remember 2 years back when I was at a Linkin park Concert, they used footage footage from Last exile, didn't surprise me since Gonzo did their video "Breaking the Habit"

Alpha Dog was a great movie- i saw it last night. This makes me wish Ihad bought tickets more.

I think that when anime is shown publicaly- (concerts, random tv shows like the OC, and just in public in gneral) its a good sign. I'm sure a few people walked away from that concert who weren't anime fans wondering: "what was that? it looked kind of intresting..."

Given Ergo Proxy is a fave of mine I feel soiled after reading this. Possibly the most inappropriate musical genre that could be associated with that series. I hate the man, the music and everything they represent. Eughh!(*shudder*)

I hate nu-metal and emo too.

Don't know, but Timbaland was the one who had the clip according to the news article, not Timberlake. I'd guess that Timbaland probably does. Anime hyper

P.S. Did you contact Geneon last night/this morning to ask them if they gave Justin Permission to use that clip. Also in the news it read "Some of the video comes from various anime series, including Ergo Proxy." were there other anime that you didn't know or were they some sort of cartoon. Just curious.

As soon as I got back from the concert, I asked Geneon about the clip, because I was curious if any of their other properties was featured in the video. There were some other anime clips shown as well, but I didn't recognize them at the time. And yeah, they had given permission, but the other anime titles used must have been from other companies.

And for all the people bagging on Justin, he wasn't even the one who had the clip. Timbaland was using it for his DJ show. It's not like, "news," per se, but I thought it was pretty cool, which is why I asked Geneon about it when I got home. Very Happy

More like late 90s. The BSB came first, and they came second. (I hope that sentence doesn't get misconstrued as homoerotic, given the way they swing.
Rolling Eyes )

Hey, I know Justin Timberlake! Very Happy Because I listen to alot of his music.

It's also surprising that there will be clips of certain animes on an R&B concert like Justin Timberlake's. IO wonder what they are. However there is a Japanese form of rap and R&B called J-Urban. The only Japanese R&B singer that I know of May J. I should probably do more research on more J-Urban artists. But I also know Dragon Ash (whose music is J-Rapcore) and Kick The Can Crew (who are similar to the Beastie Boys).

I know...I keep reading this and I'm like "It's Timbaland, not Timberlake..." and it's super grating. But I guess it's just an excuse to rag on Justin Timberlake.

Whether you like his music or not, I think people have to admit he is very talented. I know the pop music business these days isn't exactly bubbling with talent, but Justin has been in showbusiness since he was a kid on The Mickey Mouse Club, and most childhood stars don't make it to the industry as working adults unless they've really got that..."something" that makes them a star. He's a great dancer and his voice is so distinctive.

Anyway, I think it's great that anime gets promoted like this in shows. I mean, if people see it that think it is cool, it brings the industry a little more respect, and it doesn't mean anime is "selling out" by being featured like this. It's a beautiful, intriguing art form, and sounds like it would be perfect for a Timbaland performance, if anyone is familiar with Timbaland's music ^-^

Shocked this stuff has been at other places? this is really pissing me off Evil or Very Mad Linkin Park i can perfectly understand, but JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!? thats just too much.

The only real difference between Linkin Park and Justin Timberlake is that some of the members of Linkin Park play instruments. They both make pedestrian music to make money. I mean, if you like them whatever, that's fine, but don't try to say that there's some sort of fundamental artistic difference between them.
