Well said. The series does kind of start out slow, like it's anime counterpart, but to me it does start to pick up after spoiler[the battle with Nero, and when there's a little bit of a "skirmish" between Ciel and Akiha towards the end of the volume. ]I guess that with an adaption you would expect something very good, like the hit game that it's adapted from, but sometimes you need to put details in there that explain things but may not be necessary.

I've been playing the game off and on recently. The story's definitely decent, and the characters are likable enough. Unfortunately, the anime missed out on a lot of details. I haven't seen too far in, instead waiting until I've finished the game, but I noticed that the first few episodes do rush a lot. From the random pages I've seen of the manga, the Nero fight looks awesome.

I'm definitely thinking of picking it up, just so I can support Type-Moon further and feel less guilty about not paying upwards of $90 off an auction site for the game (they're not actually getting the money anyways, and I would've bought it if it was still in stock..anywhere). If I were to spend $90 on a game, it would be the Higurashi PS2 game (which I preordered already), not a doujin game with not-so-good art.
