Anime on iTunes soundsa cool. I'd have a reason to use it more. Since I prefer to watch anime subtitled if the anime was dubbed only it be a bit of a drag.

Another question, just for curiousity...which anime company do you think is going to release their titles on iTunes first?

My guess would be either ADV or Viz. ADV because they seem to be on a "we did it first!" kick lately (Anime Network, their own download store, their thing with anime on cellphones, etc). Viz because of Toonami Jetstream and the fact that they already have said they're planning on making Death Note available for sale online.

Looks like FUNimation is going to be the first company to take advantage of this. Check out their homepage.

Oop. I lose!

EDIT: Wow! $1.99 an episode? That seems pretty fair to me! I still prefer DVDs, but it's nice to know the different options out there.

It's up now (as of 2/13, 7AM ET). There's now a "Funimation Channel" listing in the "TV Shows" section. So far, they have "Desert Punk", "Samurai 7", and "Speed Grapher".

W00t! Go iTunes, go iTunes, it's your bir .... ah forget it.

I love that they are doing this, it's about time. Nice choice of "launch" titles as well.

EDIT: Lol, do they honestly think that Desert Punk would fall into the "Drama" category?
