Is this really Newsworthy though? I mean I don't mean to snippy but... while very well drawn I see Harry Potter animesque fanart on Deviantart all the time. I applaud the effort (which is impressive) that's gone into this and I am glad to get the chance to see it but it's no more a news event than any other piece of fanart or dojinshi.

Now that was awesome! I love it!
Harry Potter is a pretty huge worldwide phenomenon and I'm still surprised no one has ever talked about making an anime adaptation of the famed popular book series. I haven't even seen the rest of the series in a long while so I really need to go catch up to see the movies and read the books after it. Regardless, I would so totally support a Harry Potter anime adaptation and I wonder what J.K. Rowling thinks of letting it happen? Most likely won't but it's fun to speculate. |

No, its not. It is (evidently, from the reaction), of interest to some ANN readers. So, for those who slept through the introduction of the Interest section ~~~~ ~~~~ That's why its in the interest section, not the news section!!! ~~~~ It is, in other words, not presented under Egan's domain as being newsworthy, it is present under Gia's domain as being "of interest" to the community. And, yes, that includes cool fan-art. |
