YES.
But wait................a sequel?? That means another movie??
Nuts, i was hoping for a series.
Oh well. At least this time they got a bigger budget and better funding(from funimation i think). The first Shadow chronicles movie's budget was low and HG practically funded it themselves. |

I'm not sure the legal battle between Tatsunoko and Big West would allow for
another series. |

I'd rather Robotech continue as DVD movies than a TV series, but maybe if the second DVD does as well as the first that might put Harmony Gold in a better position to go forward with a TV series.
Tommy Yune and his staff were probably sitting on pins and needles to see how well The Shadow Chronicles sold, so once it reached a point where it was now considered commercially viable, it did take nuthin' but a word to start work on the sequel since I think the hardest part was simply getting everything started in the first place... |

No, "sequel" means something that comes after the first. Format is not inferred by the word.
I believe Tommy was talking about a series, but I didn't want to state that when I wasn't certain.

Indeed, it could be anything from a movie to a series to even a novel for all we know.
Though hopefully they'll take into account actual opinion and fix some of the problems. Shadow Chronicles succeeded mostly through a starved fanbase, not so much on it's own 'merits[large breasted women, shoddyand abundant cg work, weak development....]'. If they realise this (which they probably won't), it might be worthwhile. |
