Best art box ever, and it's fairly cheap to pre-order off of right stuf if you have a Got Anime? membership. ($44 or so?)

That said, I am far too broke to buy it....

Well, I'm not that into it, I'll stick with the regular volume. May will be here in no time for sure.

Pre-order price of $48.74, and that 10% membership discount knocks off another $5. Looks like I'll spend that money I just made off of Amazon on this! that is a seriously nice box.

I pre-ordered the LE yesterday for about $44. It's expensive, but that's some nice extra stuff.

While I don't mind their decision because I'm okay shelling out ~$170 for the series, I certainly feel for the people who wanted the broadcast order for a decent price.

This article didn't state it, but for those that aren't aware, the regular edition DVDs wil only have the chronological order. The LEs for Volumes 2-4 ($59.99 each) will each have an extra DVD with the Broadcast order on it. See here for details.

I pre-ordered my copy yesterday. I don't usually buy artboxes, but the box for Melancholy was too good to pass up. Very Happy

BTW, has anyone that ordered the LE set from TRSI had any difficulty receiving their e-mail order confirmation? Some of the users over on the AoD forum were complaining that they didn't received their order confirmation until hours after the order was made. I received my confirmation 5 minutes after I placed my order so it might just be a randon glitch in their system or perhaps their system was flooded with orders.

Holy Crap 44 dollars after got anime? That more expensive that .hack/roots artbox that's coming up later this year. Both include similar items other then Roots having a demo, which I am hoping is the second game demo and not the game everyone has beat already.

Yes, this is probably one of their most expensive LE releases yet. And the remaining LEs will only be $5 cheaper (SRP). Which you will have to get if you want the broadcast order episodes.

I got my confirmation with about two minutes. I'm not sure what's up with the delays.

I think it was confirmed that it was a glitch in their system.

This looks to be good. I want to support Bandai and Haruhi. However, I hope Bandai doesn't pull another fast one and change the BGM or music right before they release, just like they did with Gunbuster.

From http://asosbrigade.com/oplet01/
"Regular Edition DVD will have English Dolby 5.1 Surround and the original Japanese audio with English subtitles, and a lot of extras (we shall list them on a separate page). Special Edition bonus DVD will have the original Japanese audio with English subtitles all re-arranged to fit the TV Broadcast episode order."

So the SE/LE DVDs won't have the extras that come with the regular editions? WTF?

-Karasuhebi

-EDIT-
Nvm, I just realized that the SE boxes include the regular DVD and the bonus DVD that the only thing it has is the same eps as the regular DVDs but in broadcast order.

-END OF EDIT-

It's expensive, but I'm still glad they gave us the option of getting it in broadcast order. I honestly don't think the show would work in chronological order (it would climax at ep 6 then just sort of peter out).

Yeah, apparently they went through a lot to get us those bonus DVDs that have the episodes in broadcast order. Check it:
"Due to pre-existing contractual obligations, the regular edition MUST contain the R2 DVD ordering of episodes. This was set in stone, there were no exceptions.

After deeply intense negotiations to try and please the existing fan-base, we are able to release a Special Bonus DVD in the TV Broadcast order as an extra. We are deeply grateful to the wonderful people at Kadokawa Pictures for their hard work and allowing this special feature for North American audience."
