| After reading the first volume, I was in love with this series, but I was a bit disappointed in the second volume as a whole, mainly because the expansion of the cast is so hit or miss. I don't hate or dislike any of the new characters or anything, but some of them are just a bit meh. Even though the second volume did trip up a bit from time to time, I'm sold on this series for a while after the first volume, so I'm hoping to see it improve instead of deteriorate over time. |

Haha, I so wish they actually showed Hayate's battle with the Yakuza and bodyguards. He looked so awesome in that last scene, where he's facing them and then throws up the coat. But they only showed him coming back victorious.
Can't wait for the anime. |

| Sakuya is pretty much the only unsuccessful character. She doesn't show up much...and the author once infamously forgot to include her in a cast portrait. |
