as I had expected. I still didn't pick up this volume yet, but this review is reminding me to do so.

If you were excited about the Kurogane bits here, wait until next volume. His entire past is revealed.

but Kurogane is so much more overpoweringly cool than everyone else that they sometimes seem pale and weak in comparison.

That just seemed way too opinionated to me. I mean, Kurogane didn't stand out to me at all until the last few pages in his talk with Tomoyo :/
But its Im not writing the review so >_<

That particular line refers strictly to Kurogane's (and the other characters') physical appearance, though he is also my favorite character (I do so like "tough on the outside, soft on the inside" characters).

It's hard to make a race exciting. After the last few arcs were so action packed this one isn't as exciting. It's been my least favorite part of the story so far.I hate that it's lasted this long, especially since I've been hearing good things about what's coming next. Can't wait for the next volume!

Ohh okay, that makes more sense then. Thanks =)
I guess in a way, he did look a little better, but I still didn't notice too much of a difference. I will read it again then~
