Man, I should read Son of a Witch. That title is so funny, I couldn't help from laughing when I first saw it in the bookstore. |
Well, first you should read Wicked, since Son of a Witch is actually a sequel. And the books aren't really funny. They're actually quite dark and twisted and sad. But they are quite good reads (at least Son is so far). Just in case you didn't know what the books were about. If you did, then disregard this post. |

Is one book per year "quick"? That's what we can expect, apparently. |

Ah, well I didn't know it was a sequel, nor did I know what the books were about. I honestly didn't except them to be funny, I just thought the title "Son of a Witch" was freaking hilarious. But I think I might read Wicked anyway, because the title of the sequel was enough to interest me. Plus, them being dark sounds good because I like dark stories. |

Well considering that there are 6 novels I hope it's not one a year or I might be 6 feet elsewhere by the time that final novel comes out . Having just flipped through the first novel I really like this novel is done with a nice hardcover backing...I told my folks that this novel was for school . |

Oh. That's lame. I've already waited two years to find out what happened to Taiki, and now they want me to wait another three or four? |

I think one a year is releatively acceptable for a book of that length. Most novels here have a year or two wait between books. Take for example the Harry Potter series.
I do wish they would've released it twice a year like they planned to do originally though. |

Well that's what I was hoping for, the twice a year release. I know that authors usually crank out a book a year, so I was hoping that since the books are already written and just need to be translated (not that translating is a piece of cake; it just seems faster than writing a book from scratch every year), we could expect a little faster release date. |

Well, maybe if TP were to split up the stories as the Japanese did, they would release them every six months. After all, Sea of Shadow was originally two books. Would it be better with a half-year between the two halves of the story? ;p
I remember reading somewhere (AoD forums? Somewhere around here?) that the 11 (so far; please finish the story of Taiki's king! ;_; [or whichever part still needs a conclusion]) Japanese 12K novels were going to be released in 7 books over here.
I'd much prefer a full story every six months, but I suppose that I'll manage to deal with an annual release. ;_; |

| I picked up my copy from Barnes and Noble last night. It wasn't in the teen section though, instead it was in a section near the front of the store titled "Children's Best Sellers". Teen seemed okay, but I never really thought it'd qualify for the childrens section. Will likely start reading it within the next week as I'm almost done with my current read. |

I just thought I'd comment and say that I am very much enjoying this book. Having not seen the anime yet, reading the gripping first couple of chapters in the novel makes me want to see the anime ASAP.
I started reading yesterday, I had to force myself to put it down so I could go to class. I really love Ono's style, and it appears that nothing is lost in translation. Her style is actually very similar to how I write (I love to go into detail), but on a completely higher level, as it flows so much better than my writing. Perhaps I can learn from her. |

It starts at the very beginning. Later novels go beyond where the series stopped, however. (The one every fan of the anime is waiting for is the novel that finishes the Taiki storyline - it should be the 4th novel, I think.) |
