Well, that's pretty cool news anyways. I just want the last two episodes to come out already. That, and a license for the first series as well. It's strange that Brittanians, who assimilate every culture and give them numbers, would be speaking the tounge of the elevens....

It is—in three different magazines, no less. There's
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, running in Monthly Asuka
Code Geass: Suzaku of the Rebellion, running in Beans Ace
Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, running in Comp Ace

There's also a one-shot "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Stage (0) Entrance" short novel preview in the current issue of The Sneaker. However, the upcoming novel serialization (tentatively titled "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Stage (1) The Black Prince") is the first one for this franchise.

Nobody…but nobody…milks a franchise like Sunrise or CLAMP—except for a combination of Sunrise and CLAMP.

Unless Gainax got in on it too! Wink

Though, it's not too different from when there were 3 Blood+ manga series released to coincide with the anime.

What's weird is that the first manga adaption, Lelouch of the Rebellion, wwas actually released before the original anime series.

Anyway, back on topic, the Code Geass novel is more focused on the Ashford Academy antics, right? Least that's what I've been told. (or are there actually TWO novel adaptions...?)

And SUNRISE + GAINAX = ultimate milking team. Twisted Evil

Now there's a thought: Sunrise, CLAMP, Gainax, and Production I.G in one anime. Wink

One of the most extreme examples of this is Escaflowne. The shōnen manga adaptation began almost two years before the actual original anime finally got on the air.

You might be thinking of the different manga adaptations. There was a novel snippet, but it's the prologue for this upcoming novel serialization.

Great! So instead of having the proud Britannians speaking the wretched language of the Elevens, we'll have nationalistic Japanese freedom fighters speaking in the tongue of their opressors. Rolling Eyes

That sounds like an anime. About raising cows in Hokkaido. Anime hyper

The fanboy (and fangirl) orgasm would be too much to bear.

... And Shoko Nakagawa would sing the theme song.
