I wonder who's going to get stuck with that job. Maybe another brainless idiot like the President.

Ah, more 4Kids bashing. Very Happy

You know, I can see why ANN readers might take some interest in this kind of news, but it feels a little out of place now. 4Kids doesn't really have much interest in anime anymore. I think they only show they're still doing is Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and well, that's because it's Yu-Gi-Oh.

Remember, 4Kids isn't an anime company. They're a merchandising company, and they got into licensing anime because they saw dollar signs. But I guess it's just not worth it for them anymore.

Which begs the question: With the flattops whoring out their anime properties up the wazoo on the other side of the pond, and the previous experence with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, why didn't 4Kids whore out One Piece....or any of their other properties? If they were a real merchenidising company, surely they'd at least bring over pencils and stationary, plus some toys.

I nominate myself. Because an investor would have better business sense than the current management when their money is on the line.

I would've at least negotiated a better contract with Toei, shoveled out merchendise up the wazoo with One Piece, AND open up new markets to improve cashflow (i.e. Uncut releases of One Piece of Crap.....).
Umm,you know 4KIDS thankfully do not have the rights to One Piece. So,they won be able to make anymore One Piece crap. But this is really not even note worthy news. The person who gets this job would be nothing more than a figure head. This person would not be able to any important decisions because Al Kahn got a iron fist over the company. Please call me when Al Kahn resigns from his crappy company or when 4KIDS is no more. When ever comes first.

How did 4Kids lose the rights to one piece. I thought they just stop producing dubs and is just sitting on the rights.

I wonder do 4KIDS sit down and watch there own shitty shows? If they do not we should trap all 4KIDS workers and make them suffer though the torture they have inflicted on the public. Then maybe just maybe they make a show that is so-so and not god awfully terrible.

It appears that Funimation sweet talk them away from 4Kids, and plans to start releasing dvds/broadcasting the show without cuts.
