| Wow, ADV is trying to gain back the muscle they had a few years back. Keep it up! They have some quality shows now with Chevalier and Kurau, and they can definitely catch back up to Geneon and Funi with quality releases going at this pace. | |||

| This means more good stuff on The Anime Network on demand soon. I can keep getting my money's worth. |

| ASDCTFYUVJKNLMT/gfhJ,
Wow! Red Garden was one of my favourite titles in 2006, and it should've got much more recognition than it did. I'm glad a good number of people on this thread have at least heard of it. It goes to show (along with Gankutsuou and Kaleido Star) that Gonzo CAN make good shows. Welcome to the NHK was awesome as well. It took things more seriously than the manga, and while people have complained about the animation, I really didn't notice anything wrong, and I'm usually a stickler for animation quality. With AIR, Red Garden, and NHK licensed, ADV will be taking lots of my money. |

| Splendid news...I'm excited about NHK and Red Garden; haven't watched the others. I shall celebrate by eating pudding and lemons Edit: Ok I just read the press release and it says "Red Garden is 24 episodes and will be released over six DVDs" but the ANN encyclopedia says it had 22 episodes.... | Welcome to the NHK is the only one I have any interest in. I liked the first few episodes I saw, but I'm already getting the manga, I'll be getting the novel and there are already a decent number of other things coming out that I want much more and that number is guaranteed to increase within the next few months. I'll probably get one or two volumes and wait for the rest to hit the TRSI bargain bin.
I never saw or had any interest in Magikano, the one episode I saw of Red Garden didn't hold my interest, and what I saw of Pumpkin Scissors was a waste of time. I gave that show too many chances in the hopes that the plot was about to pick up and actually get interesting. I want those 5.5 hours of my life back. |

| I'd rather they announce more Macross, but I'd imagine Bandai Visual will get dibs on it. | |||

| I don't think Gonzo is big on sequels, so those who want a second season of Pumpkin Scissors may be SOL.
NHK was a grind, and Pumpkin Scissors seem to be a lot of wasted potential. I'm sure ADV will do wonders with the both of them, but I'm not sure I'm convinced I'll be buying it. Oh, and it'll be interesting to see how the whole "one-man machine" thing gets translated into English. (Damn mayonaise) |

| From its description, NHK seems as condescending and preachy as Gantz, but toastyfrog seems to dig it. | |||

Yeah, Red Garden is only 22 episodes long, however that's not including the OVA episodes. I'm assuming there's either been a typo in the press release, or they licensed the OVAs too. Either way, I'm totally stoked for this release and NHK. I love both of these anime, and will be sure to pre-order them as soon as they become available. Here's hoping for some nice LE stuff. |

Magikano is a pretty funny parody of shonen romance where the deliberately boring male "lead" thankfully doesn't get much screentime, even if the story revolves around him. Worth watching...I don't think I'll be buying it, though. |

Anybody else find what Animeondvd.com said in their news article:
It's so sad at the amount of people who haven't seen Red Garden. Impressions of vampires getting kicked in the butt by sexy teenage girls... Please do not expect that!!!! It's so much better! Anyway this is excellent news. First it was Honey and Clover, now it's Red Garden. The last anime in my top still unlicensed is Windy Tales, hopefully it's still coming |

| Awesome. I wasn' t sure if Welcome to the NHK would get licensed here, though I guess the manga might be doing well so they hope it has a decent appeal. | |||

Wow this is unexpected. I never thought NHK would be lisenced that fast, though has people said, the manga's doing well.
I can't wait to get the first volume! ^^ |

| So is Funimations exclusive agreement with Gonzo over, or did they just not want these titles? | |||

I don't believe they had an exclusive deal with Gonzo, sure they licensed 4 shows (TB, Basilisk, SG, DP) all fairly close together but I don't they have any sort of special deal. It was probably more of a thing that Funimation wanted to get some Gonzo shows and they got basically everything that aired during that season from Gonzo.
