"Simpler," if 160 Microsoft Points = $19.99 means simpler. Very few people would call the Xbox Live Marketplace approach simple. |
Well I am a gamer so that is rather simple for me. Not to mention, I wouldn't use this feature a lot to say replace buying a hard copy. That said it's difficult for me to find hard copies some times, even with something popular as Fullmetal Alchemist. Which I'm aiming to get the whole series on DVD but having an anime on XBL Marketplace is a great help for me to see anime not available here or those in which I'm not sure about. It's more like a rental service. |

| while i agree that greater availability is better, i just don't ever see a reason to buy it off live. there are just too much restrictions. i know i can get a hard copy cheaper and do so much more with it. |

This is actually very, very wrong. 1,600 MS Points is roughly the equivalent of $20.00. |

Which only further demonstrates how not simple it is. Why is one Microsoft point worth 1.25 American cents? |

More people will probably buy things on Marketplace if there aren't dollar signs. For example you see that a game like the original Prince of Persia is only 800 points. A lot of folks are just going to forget that it is actually $10 your spending on this game rather then $8. I don't like this practice, but I can understand why Microsoft is doing it, the Wii is at least a little bit easier to know how much everything cost. 2000 points = $20. |

Your right I also can't find anything out about the titles. perhaps they got pushed back like everything else on XBLM. |

Hopefully Sony will one-up them on that when they roll out their service |
That really sucks! Do you mean that all the download content is 720p? There really is no HDMI for this system? Being a PC gamer (and unlike the PS3 a nice HD-DVD player is cheaper than an X-box 360) I really know nothing about the 360 even though there are two in my house! Can you swap out hard drives on the 360? I know that it is easy to switch the PS3's 60 hard drive with a huge one (much like with a Sony Tivo) and it will not void your warranty.
I hear that there is a fierce debate which one is a better gaming machine, but it would seem that the 360 is lacking as far as being a HD media center. |

Currently 360 is probably the better choice when it comes to downloadable content. But once PS home gets up and running it might be a different story, as for the hard drive issue. Microsoft has released a 120 gb drive that is overpriced, but there is a to hook up certain hard drive to the system. I am not sure if it will void your warrant but who knows.
As far as I can tell you can only get up 720p, which is find by me seeing as how my TV only displays up to 720.
Edit some titles are now available, XBLM has also added an anime channel under the network section.
If you check here the list provided RDespair it's fairly accurate except I don't see Basilisk, Speed Grapher or Kiddy Grade. And basically every episode is available except Guyver only had up to episode 16. |
