I now love Johnny Depp more than I ever did, which I thought was impossible. Seriously, like him or not, someone watch Ed Wood and then try to tell me that he isn't majorly talented (that was rhetoric, not a challenge). I too wonder what language he will be speaking. Maybe he'll record his lines in several different languages, if that's possible. |

Well, this certainly made my day. 
That's pretty awesome of Johnny Depp to do such a role.
The current Doraemon series has been running in Japan since 1979. |

I wonder if Mr. Depp is a closet anime fan. He certainly seems the type. Got to love a man who picks a script because it's based on a theme park ride.

It didn't occur to me that he may have to speak Japanese, or maybe he'll get to speak english and they'll just subtitle it. I don't know what Doraemon is, but I have an impression that it's for children, and that reading subtitles would be annoying for children. Either way, it's totally awesome that a famous Hollywood star would be guest voice actor in an anime series. I hope it's one step closer for anime to reach "Holllywood" status. |
