Oshii's daughter was married earlier this year, and Gabriel, his beloved basset hound, passed away at the age of thirteen.

Two events that have equal bearing in his heart I'm sure. Smile

No but really I am exited about both projects.

This is the only panel I'd actually attend, if I had gone to AX this year.

I'm saddened to read about the passing of Oshii's beloved pet, Gabriel. I hope this doesn't mean we won't see anymore basset hounds in Oshii films. That, and the "basset hound movie" Oshii joked about filming some time ago.

I am really excited to see what Ghost Hound will be like seeing as how it's suppose to be Production I.G. anniversary project and I am pretty sure that it going to be the TV series this year.

I loved his dog. He was the best "actor" in Avalon and Innocence. R.I.P. Sad

Sad news about his dog. I'm a cat lover first and foremost, but I have an odd attraction to basset hounds.

Ghost Hound and Sky Crawlers are both possible to be the best anime for each respective year, or else will end up as "lost potential." Eh, I trust Nakamura, Konaka, and Oshii, considering when they're on they're some of the best around in anime.

And oohh, there's been a picture added to the Ghost Hound entry. Looks trippy.

Haven't actually seen Avalon yet (been wary of some errors that I've read about on the DVD), but no love for Batou in Innocence, Gatsu?

Hellkorn: Batou was good, but his dog stole the show.
