I pretty much recognize all of those names. But Cheech Marin!! This is going to be great! Smile And I don't expect that Dafoe will be anything less than brilliant as well. And Dalton could be good. It just depends how much effort he puts into the VA work. I am still not sure if his transition from actor to VA will work out, but if it does it should be great.

If everything does work out, this should be a great dub.

I got mine yesterday. There are two versions. The film version: Y5000 and the special scenes version Y8000.

Amazon Japan is selling them here

Yeah this is the first time I heard an English dub is in a Region 2. I guess Ghibli is telling us something.

Unfortunately, I think the Earthsea fan in me was even more disappointed than the Ghibli fan in seeing this. The movie really does not do justice to either Ghibli or Earthsea, turning the latter's well-developed characters and themes into a rather black-and-white cliche fest, with a muddled plot to boot. Neither animation nor music (excluding Therru's song) are up to Ghibli's standards, either. Such a waste, really. Sad

I really wouldn't recommend paying an arm and leg to import this.
