Interesting. I thought it would be an expansion on the ending, not the beginning. From the description, there is a very real possibility that this might suck. I mean, Ryuk is a SIDE CHARACTER. Side characters are on the sidelines for a reason.
I hope it's good though. |

Ohh, that will be long...in the worst case scenario (12 volumes) to finish the serie it will not be before december 2008... |

Like in North America, certain programs in Japan do not start exactly at the top or bottom of the hour. | I've already read the entire manga series(all 12 volumes) will this special add any value to the series? If it does I'd be more tempted to watch it. But also I think that it would be interesting to hear Ryuks thoughts, hopefully it just not going to be Ryuk saying he has an apple craving every freaking minute. |

It sounds like an improvement to me. I lost all interest in the series halfway through, when L died.
This is an interesting idea and I think it could be really interesting to get something from Ryuk's view. I completely disagree that he's a side character because he would be boring otherwise. I often think side characters are MORE interesting than main ones. |
