Sounds cool, to be honest some of the guys in the Hana-Kimi drama aren't all that. I'm a guy and all but I mean really most of the guys look like girls except a few and there are a couple of really old and tired looking actors too like the doctor. The doctor guy's eyes are really cool looking though.
The drama is awesome despite it being overly silly, good luck to whoever competes! |

Good God, you know, I really loved the manga, and I actually enjoyed the Taiwanese drama despite (or because of?) Ella's huge rewriting of the character, but Ikemen Paradise seems WAY too gimmicky for me. Ohsaka as "a school that emphasizes appearances rather than grades?" Even if you consider this something completely different from Hana Kimi, that's way too contrived and exaggerated... And I think this contest proves just how gimmicky it really is.
The TW drama was rightly criticized for focusing too much on humor and not enough on the characters and their struggles. I think HanaKimi IkePara is guilty of the same neglect, and instead, an unnecessary emphasis on the "all the boys are hawt!" aspect (which isn't even true in the original).
I still like it for the fanservices, and I'll continue to watch and pretend that it has nothing to do with Hana Kimi. Such is life. |

| I've only read the first volume of Hana Kimi myself so maybe that's why but I love the live-action! Currently downloading the second episode, can't wait to get home from work to watch it^^ I think it's just so hilarious. And plus, Oguri Shun is in it *swoons* This'll be my third series with him in it. |

Ehh, they're not all that great looking. What I really hate though, is that they all have the same kind of hair style. Seriously, get creative.  |
