Forgive me for being blunt but what exactly does it mean when the press release says "...has been selected for the Official Competition in the Commissioned Films - Promotional Animation..." I'd like to fully understand and I'm sure there is someone who can answer this question with ease.

Ottawa International Animation Festival, is a competition for what it considers to be the best short animation films of the year.
