This DVD has some of the worst picture quality for ADV that I've seen in a long time. That along with the lack of extras and only four episodes really hurt. On the menu screen all the options (Ie Main, Languages, Extras) are visible but not all of them are selectable.

The show itself does indeed remind me of Votoms and Blue Gender, so I'm not surprised at it's low ANN rating since these series don't seem to fly well here. There are also elements of Solty Rei that I see peeking out. While not a masterpiece this series is fun to watch.

I've seen only one episode so far and really enjoyed the art and what I could gather of the story. I'm assuming, though, that since the story received a C+ that it doesn't improve all that much. Everything else has a decent grade, though, and it seems that I have always been attracted to the series that receive good ratings in everything but the story, which tend to be in the B or C range. Maybe I'm just an "eye-candy" person? Wink

Considering the amount you have in your collection (*ahem* Shelf Life), that's good to hear.
