testor: Robot Carnival.

Xenofan: Bandai Visual wasn't sure it was ready to take on the U.S. market.

What? Robot Carnival came out in 1987. Klockworx was established in 1998.

This straw-grasping is demonstrating all the more that Bandai Visual is unrelated to the new Evangelion movies, just like it was unrelated to the original Evangelion series.

They own it now, though.

Uh, proof for your straw-grasping, please.

I saw their credits on the Jojo OVAs which also preceded the founding of the company.

Despite being the producer and sponsor to 98% of the giant robot series out there, BANDAI was not involved in the production of the Evangelion franchise. My theory is that either BANDAI was not interested in sponsoring Evangelion due of the 'unique' (read: lack of mass appeal) mechanical designs, or GAINAX refused a sponsorship from BANDAI to save their artistic integrity. Keep in mind, BANDAI is at core a toy company. BANDAI would not hesitate to ask a studio to change their giant robot designs (read: be more like GUNDAM) so they can sell more toys, and they would tell them to 'upgrade' the robots/mobile suits even if the upgrades are completely irrelevant to the development of the story.

Anyhow, this thread is going nowhere. I'm much more interested in knowing how the movie review is coming, rather than listening to people bitching about Evangelion fan base. This is 2007, 12 years after 1995. We have already gone through this many, many times.

Uh...so you saw Klockworx's credit on a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure title...and that "proves" that Klockworx worked on Robot Carnival and thus "proves" Bandai Visual worked on the Eva movies?

The phrase "tortured logic" comes to mind. Smile

It proves that Klockworx is now involved as a share-holder in STA productions.

Big deal. Klockworx has shares in other ventures as well. Wink
