I wonder if they saw the first season of When they cry. There was a whole arc based around that idea. Of course the couple in there didn't get jail time, they....
they got hacked up by Rena and stuffed in a fridge in a junkyard

Looks to me like the judge went easier on her anyways. He has to serve 4 extra months than her. That just seems screwed up to me.

Like someone earlier said, though - it seems that the sister just came up with the idea. It was the brother that did the actual extorting :/
The whole thing's messed up :P
