For some reason this reminds me of the most recent episode of Pushing Dasies w/ the twin funeral directors.

Why did the sister get less time if it was her idea?

Perhaps because she wasn't the one actually threatening or getting physcial with the chosen victim.

I wonder if they saw the first season of When they cry. There was a whole arc based around that idea. Of course the couple in there didn't get jail time, they....
spoiler[
they got hacked up by Rena and stuffed in a fridge in a junkyard]

In his final statement before the court, the brother asked the judge to go easy on his sister. The judge denied the request, citing her involvement with coming up with the idea in the first place.

Looks to me like the judge went easier on her anyways. He has to serve 4 extra months than her. That just seems screwed up to me.

Like someone earlier said, though - it seems that the sister just came up with the idea. It was the brother that did the actual extorting :/

The whole thing's messed up :P

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Gee. Bad girls are everywhere. Hey how about doing something positive for a change. That bullying stuff is kind of old now. But I guess some things just never change.

Hey you do the crime do the time.

Only in Japan...
