I don't care Beet got discontinued; I didn't like the series... Also I think Bobobo was too random and not really funny.
So I won't mourn for them.
Though I think it's sad that a DVD-company goes down like that.
But it's their own fault, thay should have chosen better series to release.

When I checked, Right Stuf hadn't dumped the AM Drivers I pre-ordered yet

But they have cancelled Kizuna 9 & I believe Virgin Soil, though Embracing Love 6 hasn't been cancelled.

The shows themsevles were garbage. Not worth anyones money honestly. Unless you like that sort of cheap shoenen stuff.

kokuryu, I think i love you. LOL.

Your opinion.

BTx & Bobobo were both very good shows from what I saw of the release. I don't think an ep of Bobobo went by that I didn't laugh at. FLCL? I smiled at one very thin joke. So for my money Bobobo is far superior to FLCL.

*sigh*

FLCL isn't even a comedy. It's a coming of age story with comedic elements. Comparing the two is ridiculous.

Why not?

For the longest time it seemed fans either liked Excel or FLCL. Excel is more similar to Bobobo in that both are satire while FLCL is more surreal. SOme might try to say Bobobo is surreal, but it's more like Airplane-throw in all the jokes they can to see how many people get. Bobobo is more absurb than surreal. At least there is a certain logic to FLCL while the joy of Bobobo is nothing really matters because everything is fair game.

I think what I don't like about FLCL is it's more like a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" kind of show which it too frightened to do anything with the material, other than fast-forward it. Bo^7 tends to be hit-and-miss, but at least you feel like the writers are taking it in different directions.

I think Viz is getting those titles later in 2008 at the NY Anime Fest.

That's a pretty definite guess you have.

Is it just a guess, or do you have any reasoning behind it?

Viz, RESCUING a title from someone else? Can you imagine the shitstorm when they release box sets of bobobo before more of HnG or PoT or H&C or NANA (or Monster?)

This is either Viz truly acting insane or just someone's vivid imagination.

I don't understand why Viz didn't have these titles in the first place.

Eh, I won't shed any tears for their demise. I watched one episode of Bobobo and it permanently damaged my IQ. Never heard of the other two and it doesn't sound like the company made a very good name for itself either.
