I would love it if Funimation managed to stage a coup and get Sailor Moon back to NA, although I wouldn't say that the license is uncertain. It's pretty clear that everything was pulled back to Japan. I wonder if the releasing of the names was some sort of strategic maneuver, or if he was just being honest (but that's just how I think).
Does anyone know how well Kyo Kara Maou sold? I would like someone to finish that.
And of course . . . I was super excited about Nanoha, but people just aren't taking chances on mahou shoujo these days. Sigh. Sailor Moon would be good enough for me, I guess. |

| I don't think there will be any surprises with Hellsing Ultimate, logically Funimation has a very good relationship with the ADR Director Taliesin Jaffe as he's worked on a few of their projects (BECK, Hell Girl and Speed Grapher to name a few). There is almost no question the original dub cast will be retained there would be a fan outcry against them if they changed it. |

Volume 6 is listed as in stock and immediately available on Amazon.com. Sure, it's pretty much MSRP, but at least it's there. |

| If Funimation (or SOMEONE) manages to get Sailor Moon back to the states, I will be singing praises to the heavens. I have so many people asking about the series that it ranks right up with "Fist of the North Star the Movie" and "Cowboy Bebop Box Set" as most requested items. |

| They need to pick up all the titles that Geneon had - there are too many fans that were waiting for the last discs for several series, and some waiting for complete box sets or thinpacks to be released. Golden opportunity for them to score big kudos with the fans. |

| If this is good news then I'm happy for Geneon. If any series I like gets dubbed by FUNimation (like Shounen Onmyouji which is THE BEST!!!), I'll be happy too!...well, if Geneon LETS FUNimation dub any series, of course. Or if FUNimation lets Geneon dub the series' themselves...sorta. I don't know what I'm saying. |

Sailor Moon? I think I might burst into tears. I hope they get Toei to realize how many want Stars. I also hope they keep the old dubs- and just sell the dvds again.
I'm in the process now of trying to buy some of the Sailor Moon Super dvds...i hope it works out.
I hope they also look at releasing CCS in boxsets. Heck- even if it was a limited number it'd still do good. |

Naw, really though we just found out that both of those will have completed dubs. So hopefully they will see the light of day eventually.
As far a Sailor Moon goes I think that sounds kinda shady. It is one of those shows that everytime it's mentioned people's ears perk up. And I think for that reason alone is the reason it was mentioned. But hopefully I am completely wrong. |

| Hellsing and Black Lagoon being saved from limbo is definitely pleasant news, but Funi better not have ANYTHING to do with the actual dub work since every character in Hellsing and Black Lagoon MUST retain their original actors. Funi should only be the distributor and NOT the dubbing studio |

A license rescue of Hellsing Ultimate would be nice, but they'd have to really stick to what Geneon was doing for their release- IE continue with the Limited edition, don't change the subtitles or the dub cast, do NOT AUTHOR IT AT FUNIMATION. The video quality is too good right now for them to go and totally screw up.
If they implement a smooth transition and make it so that the only big differences is a FUNimation logo on the side of my cases instead or with a GUSA one, then I will not mind. |

A re-issue and, if possible, a re-dub of the first four seasons of Sailor Moon and the NA release of Sailor Stars would be beyond thrilling for me. I really hope that Funi will be able to pull it off!
I'm like many of the others, I would like to see Kyo Kara Maoh!, Shonen Onmyouji and Saiunkoku. It was/is really depressing to get so close to the end of KKM! and not get the final discs.
While those are the titles that I'm intersted in, for the sake of others that were also left adrift by Geneon, I hope that your titles get picked up as well - by anybody! |
