Sorry guys and gals! This feature is only available to US and Canadian residents at the present time. Please check back soon as we continue to strive to provide you with the best anime available online for free.

meh! Rolling Eyes

Isn't Anime Network only available in the US and Canada though? Perhaps I'm mistaken, but if not its absurd to expect this to be available outside Region 1. I feel for the fans across the pond but you can't expect a network only available in R1 to make this accessable all around the world. (and again, sorry if I'm mistaken about AN's availability outside R1)

This is really a step in the right direction. Its a free previewing method but a balanced one with kickbacks (I would imagine) to the companies and most importantly, control over when it is or ceases to be available. Now we just need them to start licencing immediately and getting stuff up soon after is Japanese release.

Great idea! Finally, some logic in the anime industry-- letting people preview and not expecting them to plop down $25 for something that they don't know if they really want to watch!

*applause*

...except it's all dubs, so it doesn't affect me... *HEADDESK*

While streaming will almost certainly mean we can't just FF through the ads like ANOD, I don't mind that too much (unless you count restoring mid-show commercials.) The real test will be if they do age verification and/or run real episodes, or just use the lazy hacks of censorship they like to throw up (and hyphenated too) on ANOD.

Right now they just have a click through age gate where you certify you are 18 years of age before entering. I'm pretty sure nothing's censored, Air Gear has plenty of fan service in the first three eps, one bit of nudity and plenty of dropping the f-bomb. They may have to make a more sophisticated age-gateway but hopefully they'll keep the content un-censored.

The only sad thing now is this is making me want to buy even more anime...and I'm already 250$ in debt -_-;;

The company certainly does seem to be catching onto something in my mind. Stream some episodes to catch the attention of the anime fan community, which then if you want to get the rest of the benefits that are offered through those few episodes, you'd be smart enough to buy the rest of the DVDs. And with those free streams I would imagine that the quality of the show for is better and for another you won't have to have subs on the bottom.

I get Anime Network on Demand and it's a joke. And I still have to watch that god awful "The Adventures of Poo Boy" before every damn episode. Thankfully it lets me FF through it for now.

This is a fabulous venture--I applaud The Anime Network/ADV's effort to put anime available for viewing online. I hope they eventually put up options to watch subbed instead of dubbed, but the fact that they're trying to do this at all is really cool. Kudos and all that. =)
