Hey there everyone!
I'm glad to see that the reception has been positive for the show, and it's exciting to see that you guys are looking forward to the evolution of it as the weeks go on.
As you can probably tell by my (deliberately ironic) icon alone, I've been reading the forums for feedback, and I'm taking everything that's been said about me into consideration since making the effort to at least try and rectify personal flaws is the only way for me to evolve along with the show. While I will obviously try to work hardest on the fundamental points of contention for my own performance (the ones relating to delivery and body positioning), all I ask is to please bear with me until such time when I can finally develop a good overall rhythm. While this stuff is rudimentary, it still takes a bit of time to adjust, you know?
Please keep the feedback coming, and I look forward to not only continuing to provide everyone with entertainment as I always try to do, but to continue being one of your bearers of highlights/updates/interviews from the anime world every week!
Catch y'all at NYAF! |

Wow, what a great idea! This is very exciting!
Definitely a great first run. Now I'm not necessaraly the best person in the world to take advice from in this particular area, so I don't really have any criticism to add other than what's already been said. Although I do agree with the idea of maybe having some more original content or some more in-depth coverage, you know, just something to make it different from just simply reading the news articles. Sort of like the difference between watching the local news and reading the local newspaper. But I'm sure it'll be something like that anyways with next week with the convention coverage.
But yeah, a great start, and I do indeed look forward to it's future. |

Many of the problems I saw have already been pointed out, but there are a few things i can add.
The writing in the news stories is too long. I realise you are trying to be informitive, but you are pounding too much into the stories.
The lead sentences on your stories need to be shorter and act more to suck the watcher in.
Watch out for the vocab, it is better to have easier words that the anchors can read than tripping over more difficult ones.
Broadcast style writing can be very tricky when you aren't used to it, but experience does wonders.
You jump back and forth between anchors too often it is best to squeeze in 2-3 stories before switching. (I know it's difficult because it's a one camera production.)
The SFX and GFX that cover when you switch anchors is a bit much.
find more B-roll during the readers, people get nervous staring down the anchor for long periods.
Personality!! Their should be some happy talk, have the anchors interact more and show off their personalities.
I guess thats good enough for now.
Sorry if i added too much criticism, my years in college have made me a perfectionist when it comes to video, tv and news. |

As others have said, it's a good first episode.
My suggestion would be to milk the video medium for all its worth. As far as relaying news goes, video has two advantages over reading the news over the Internet: audio and moving graphics. Covering news stories for which the use of those two elements would help the story out would distinguish this from being just having the news we've already read on the site spoken to us.
For example, the coverage of BOST here was helped out a lot with the use of the video clips from the respective anime that BOST is streaming. More video clips in general would be great.
As for taking advantage of audio, I hear that interviews may be done later on; that would be great. Y'all can probably think of other ways to take advantage of audio and video for this project.
And I can't wait for the NYAF coverage. |

| Considering it's a first try, I thought they did a good job. Keeping up with all the news is hard if you arn't checking everyday, so something is this is a good idea. I think it can be improved apon; for instance, as others have already pointed out, the backround is distracting. The speakers were good, but they could definatly loosen up, you could feel that they were either reading of a tele-promter, or reciteing from memory. either way, i felt a definate stiffness. However, I think that they just need some more practice. I look forward to the next one, it will definatly be more interesting once they add more origional content. |

I only remember the video of Bamboo doing street interviews of a sort with cosplayers. But then again, i can't remember what I did last week. |

Pretty good start for the broadcast.
Alot of the stuff that was pointed out has been pretty much what needed to be said.
One thing I hope WHEN all goes well at the NYAAF, is that there can be some more opportunities to cover some of the other cons that have just about the same amount of big news for acquired licenses and premieres. Kind of in a way have a few reporters cover the cons in their areas/regions. |

Our studio and equipment is all in New York City. |
Well there's your problem.
Seriously, though, it was okay. My major issue was also the presenters having their hands behind their backs. It's okay for them to talk with their hands, especially if they're going to be standing up.
I'd also like for there in the future to have some sort of on-location reporter or interview. It breaks up the monotony of the rapid-fire headlines that come out from our anchors.
The 30-second spot was hilarious. |

I have two minor complaints.
Tell Mario not to use his eyebrows so much.
When you cut to commercial and show a list, could it be a little longer so i can read it. Not that i couldn't pause, just a thought. |

| Impressive first episode! Keep up the good work guys. Personally this video feels more like a high school video, like those videos that the ASB does about the events in school and stuff... yeah... but seriously has potential! |
