At last some details!

I'm definitely buying the Part One set. The extra disc and the t-shirt are the clinchers. I'll just set aside some of my tax return money for the purchase.

Like what? The Part One set comes with the extra DVD. Are you talking about literature or pencil boards etc.?

Options are the most consumer friendly way to go. I'm pre-ordering the box set since I hate waiting between volumes but am glad that Sony has this other option for those who don't want to make a big investment in something they have not seen.

I would also buy a Blu-ray edition without missing a beat. Considering that the current Sony titles (Paprika. Tekkon) are about 50% more ($27 vs $39) for their Blu-ray versions the math would make Blood+ about $180 MSRP which is what I paid for a few Geneon 26 episode box sets in the past. This is also less than BVUSA's Honeamise movie and three 25 minute episodes of Freedom in high definition.

So you know- the anime doesn't have anything to do with the movie other then the name. It starts off being a sequel, but eventually it's retconned into an alternate universe. It's pretty good though- I've been following it via Adult Swim. It's not as good as stuff that's been on AS in the past, but I'm enjoying it. The finale is coming up in about two months.
