He's definitely talking about how I feel about otaku life in a way.
It's something that can't be ignored, but at the same time, shouldn't have to be shoved down everyone's throat like alot of other things are. |

| It's an interesting interview to read about how one who has shown a realistic and believable outlook on the otaku culture give his opinions on it. Towards the end, it does sound like Shimoku is against otakuness going mainstream, but yet, he is happy to see it embraced more in the form of actual clubs. I guess it's more like he wants otaku to be able to come together and be able to feel less ashamed than just the popularization of the culture just because it's the latest fad. |

What I find most interesting is that he based Ogiue on himself... That means that he purposefully decided to make the character that represented him in his manga a woman. A secretly Yaio loving, BL doujin drawing woman... That's like, SO otaku  |
