Given the "don't link to fansub / scanlation sites" rule, I find it a bit odd to find myself regularly seeing links to exactly those things via the Google ad's displayed on the site. The most recent example I've seen is this:
Feel free to edit out the URL at the end there in accordance with ANN rules - I thought I'd better include it so that you can see for yourself what sort of thing I'm talking about. Is it not possible for you to block ad's from Google that are not only illegal but also break your own code of practice? |

Google's employees won't be able to tell the difference between legit anime DVDs and bootlegs, and they won't take your word for it. Better to report these sites to the licensee (Funimation, ADV, etc...) they might chose to contact Google, and/or go straight after the stores. -t |
