I don't know how the Yawara manga did so I can't compare sales there, but the anime did extremely well. It (the anime adaptation) the one that consistently got higher ratings than Ranma.
The Ranma manga was always a bit more popular than Ranma anime, and rightfully so. It did sell very well and is the title that took her to the 100 million selling mark in the early nineties. |
