Well see the controversy over the other one was there were no supposed 'threats' made, but you have to have a little more common sense in writing kids names down in a book labeled 'Death Note' and then taking it to school. This one there was without a doubt circumstancial evidence to put this guy away. Not only that he's an alcoholic, and his myspace I say it now did not look, "nice." There's nothing wrong with watching Naruto, just look at some of our forum members, but the fact of the matter is some people take the reality and fantasy a little too far, like he did, and like the otaku-kin a while back in the Answerman column. |

I can't tell you how fed up I am with all of these idiots and cowards who have nothing better to do than either kill or threaten to kill others, and then, more than likely, kill themselves. To use a quote from an anime or paraphernalia from an anime is just the nail in the coffin. For whatever reason, they're that unhappy with the way their lives are going so, they have to take it out on everyone else. All these shootings and threats of shooting are just copy-cats of the mess that was Columbine, Virginia Tech or any number of other school shootings in the last few years.
I think parents need a bit of a wake-up call for their kids...start paying attention to what the hell they're doing. I think the courts need to start doing more to prevent this kinda stuff as well. How much you wanna bet the little bastard will go for some sort of insanity plea and get off without a hitch? They need to throw his little emo behind in a damp dark cell where the sun don't shine and forget about him....along with all the rest of the sick cowards out there.
I will say though, that I'm glad the media didn't go all nutso on the fact that he used an anime quote to promote violence. It's definitely not the fault of the show, but this retard who has nothing better to do than make threats to people for stupid reasons. Maybe a good smack in the back of the head with a little bit of "Dumbass!!" thrown in will do him some good.  |

At least this is a real threat and not that Death Note crap. Just because you write a name down doesn't mean squat. Thats not this thread, so i'll leave it be.
hmm. He's got a pic of himself and a real gun. And weapons he's found?
Naruto didn't have a gun! /fail.
I guess there are still smart schools in the world. I wish I could see the actual video though.
Kids today seems to be going totally crazy. Maybe in this case its the fact he drinks like a sailor? He needs AA.

Definitely made the right call with this kid- Naruto or not, this is screwed up. I hope his parents have the sense to stick him in some serious therapy if the courts don't do it for them.
Honestly though, I halfway hope he's stumbling around the internet looking for support from this 'fellow fans', and finding all our narutard posts. On the whole, anime fans are a pretty accepting bunch, so if they're saying you're a f***ing nutbar, then you're a f***ing nutbar!! Get some help, dude!

His Myspace page is so poorly designed it makes me want to puke. Why do people create these blasted pages and completely throw away everything that makes anything look worth looking at?
When designing a Web page (or anything for that matter), never ever use Comic Sans MS fer Chrissakes. And you don't need some retarded wallpaper to make yourself look cool and artsy, or whatever.

It's understandable. Schools take things like this and make sure the person is punished. For those who disagree, they shouldn't. If someone used a threatening quote or a book with an innuendo of violence, they should be punished.
I'm a big anime fan, but It's understandable.
It's not ludicrous. Schools are taking necessary precautions to make sure that no one is to get hurt. To disagree with this notion, is like saying that you won't be on the watch for someone who's writing your name down in a kill list (Death Note) or post a video on YouTube that has a violent innuendo (This Situation.) |

I was referring to the earlier post when someone said he should know better because of his age... I've seen 14 yo's who had more common sense than this guy. But he's obviously so far gone... oh well.
And to the poster who said he could plea insanity and get off without a hitch, it doesn't work like that. If you plea insanity, and the plea is accepted, you go to the insane asylum until they say you're fit for society again. |
