I'm very happy for Rie Kugimiya.
On the other hand, though I certainly think she is worthy of winning this award, I'm sure there are fans of Miyano, Hirano, etc who are as overjoyed as I am to see their favourites win while many other talented, hardworking and perhaps more worthy seiyuu remain unrecognized. |

I like Mamoru a lot but him winning this year was just an epic case of fail. His performances for Tamaki and Light is vastly superior to his Setsuna from 00. I do think Fukuyama's Lelouch was better than those 2 roles though and since they were handing out last years awards based on a particular role instead of everything they did, I can see why he didn't win last year. Fukuyama will probably win next years awards to make it 2 from 3, Lelouch again, Special A's "Kei" as well as his Lawrence from Spice and Wolf. He also has about 4-5 more supporting roles lines up for the rest of year at this stage... |

| They don't actually say which role gets them the award? | |||

That I also find confusing. Did they actually announce at the awards show for what roles each of the voice actors were nominated for? Besides Motteke! Sailor Fuku? |

| this whole thing is a total joke, why take it so seriously? if anything, j1m0ne's version of the awards is much fairer and deserves recognition. | |||

| Biased as it may be, I'm glad my favorite seiyuu, Suzumura Kenichi, won an award. | |||

| Since the results are voted by the public, it's more of a popularity contest and I wasn't surprised with any of them. Though I was hoping Suwabe Junichi for best sub chara and/or personality, and Suzuki Tatsuhisa for singing, I'm happy at least Hatano Wataru got recognized for best rookie male. (I almost cried over Sam.) He's really giri giri since his debut was in 2003, making this his 5th year, the cut-off for "new" seiyuu. Yonaga definitely deserved the award as well. Mihashi is ADORABLE.
Yeah, the results are most likely rigged and pretty much everyone is aware, but if it lets me see Hatano in a suit...... Here are the series listed for the seiyuu who won, so I guess it's for these roles that they were given the award for. Miyano Mamoru - Koutetsu Sangokushi, Gundam 00 Hirano Aya - Suzumiya Haruhi, NANA, DEATH NOTE Ono Daisuke - Minamike, Rental Magica Kamiya Hiroshi - Gundam 00, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Kugimiya Rie - Hayate no Gotoku!, Shakugan no Shana Saiga Mitsuki - Moyashimon, Gurren Lagann, Terra he... Hatano Wataru - Terra he..., Saint Beast Yonaga Tsubasa - Ookiku Furikabutte, Gigantic Formula Katou Emiri - Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z, Lucky Star Kobayashi Yuu - Gintama, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei |
