How's it possible for an industry rep to go to 400 anime conventions? Even taking into account small-time local conventions that don't get covered here over the span of the past decade or so, I'm surprised to find out that it's possible for one guy to go to so many of them. That's a heckuva lot of weekends to be away from home, unless there's teleconferencing involved for the small, unimportant cons.
I'm disappointed that Funi didn't announce that they've acquired at least the first of the two Minami-ke series. With Geneon out of the picture, Funi seems to be my only hope for licensing slice-of-life moƩ comedy series (aside from Lucky Star, but I bet that one wouldn't have been licensed by Bandai without the heavy Haruhi Suzumiya connections). |

Lame, no release dates for Ouran or Darker Than Black. That's all I was waiting for from Anime Boston. |

| I think they've got things mixed up. Thing is, some people don't want to buy the dvds. So the whole "drive up the sells of dvds" thing doesn't work. Unless they're planning to only release so many episodes for download. |

| They also used a title that was panned online as their "test". They should have showed some guts and used Darker than BLACK as the "test" imo. |

Mentioned briefly at the very end: CN is just moving things around their schedule. It's not a formal hiatus or anything. |

The note about Case Closed gives me hope.
Sheehan has been around a while. He worked for Score for a while so I'm not in the least bit surprised he's been at 400 conventions thus far. |

| That's dumb. Kodocha can be finished in quicker time than Case Closed; and it'd probably be less likely to add to the glut than Case Closed, too. I guess the second half will go to Right Stuf again. |

"Some people don't want to so that means nobody does" is what you're basically saying here.
People still buy DVDs. The world is not the internet. |

I should have been more clearer: I made this point with the idea in mind, they shouldn't get their hopes up. How can having the shows available for download get them dvd sales? Why would you buy the same series twice?
Thats why I added, unless they plan to only show a certain amount of episodes.
Considering how they seemed to be going on, I didn't think they sold anything.
whoops: that was adv. nevermind |

Oh right people buy and collect DVDs of shows they like still. Millions of people do.
Again. World does not equal internet. |

Theres a huge difference there. The episodes you download from Xbox Live you keep. You already own the show and have slightly paid under thinpak price for it. Why would you buy it again?
Again,
If you are already a collector, then why would you download it for a fee in the first place? You'd go out and buy the dvds. Thats why I feel they have a unrealistic view of their "upped" dvds sales. |

To preview the series so the "collector" can decide whether he wants to buy it or not.

Not as cheap as downloading three or four episodes for a fee. |

| I'm happy about Case Closed but disappointed about Kodocha. At 51 episodes, I'm not sure about Right Stuf picking it up like they did with Super GALS!. |
